career highlights
  • 25 years' experience in Municipal Government.  Positions include Assistant Town Administrator, Community Development Director, Economic Development Assistant & Interim Town Administrator.
  • 1st Vice President of the Mass. Selectmen's Association; Mass. Municipal Association Board, and Member Local Government Advisory Commission which meets regularly with the Lt. Governor & key state officials.
  • Healthy Transportation Compact Advisory Council, serving MassDOT, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs.​
  • Legislative Committee Chair of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) and former President for 3 terms. MAPC is an organization of 101 Cities and Towns in Greater Boston, and includes Lexington.
  • Former Chair of the MAPC MAGIC Subregion, which includes Lexington.  MAGIC = Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination.
  • Formerly Board of Directors, 495 Metrowest Corridor Partnership.

significant accomplishments
  • Obtained funding and spearheaded construction of phase 1 of the Assabet River Rail Trail in Hudson & Marlborough; convened 5-town Intermunicipal Agreement.
  • Restored the historic Town Hall in Hudson, which included obtaining funding and overseeing the project.
  • Worked to revitalize the Hudson downtown.
  • Restored the historic 1859 Senior Center building in Hudson.  Obtained funding, hired architects and engineers, and oversaw the construction of this $5 million dollar project.
  • Built skatepark and water-splash park in downtown Hudson.
  • Oversaw design, funding, and implementation of $11,000,000 Route 85 highway expansion.  The project was designed to alleviate congestion, while adding full bicycle and pedestrian amenities to this critical retail corridor in Hudson.

  • Town of Wenham: Open Space & Recreation Plan. 
  • City of Newton: part of Owners Project Manager's consulting team advancing an 8-unit affordable housing construction and neighborhood park creation project, with construction beginning 2018.
  • Town of Wellesley: HHU Committee school master planning public outreach campaign.
  • Town of Hopedale: Capital Planning.
  • Town of Oakham: Capital Planning.
  • City of Gardner: Complete Streets Planning in conjunction with BSC Group.
  • City of Haverhill: Complete Streets Planning in conjunction with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc.
  • Town of Sudbury: Interim Planning Assistance, and Mass. Central Rail Trail project advancement.
  • Town of Clinton:  Successfully authored 2013 CDBG application which obtained $800,000 in funding for Historic Senior Center renovation project and Complete Streets project.
  • Town of Stow:  Produced comprehensive Master Plan 
  • Town of Bolton:  Served as Interim Town Administrator while conducting its search for a permanent Town Administrator.
  • City of Marlborough:  Interim Community Development Director, assisting its Community Development Authority transition the office back to a fully functional, staffed department.
  • Town of Bolton: conducted personnel management study of Town Hall positions.
  • Hudson Business Association: oversaw initial creation of 501 C6 organization and assisted in the launching of this new organization to assist with business retention and area revitalization in Downtown Hudson.
