 Last summer, we hired more than 20 interns to both help out with the campaign and create an opportunity for our young people to learn about public policy and the political process. It was so successful that upon election, I committed to continuing a robust internship program so our students could learn and engage at the State level. Mentoring the next generation of leaders is one of the most important things we can do as a society to ensure a positive future for all. With an ambitious legislative agenda and community engagement operation ahead, I have an excited group of interns gearing up for a productive summer. As we approach the milestone of six months in office, I am so proud of the great work we have already accomplished in partnership with so many community members and stakeholders.
