I hope you're having a wonderful December and are enjoying this holiday season. As the year winds down, I am taking a moment to reflect on 2019 and my first year as State Representative for the 15th Middlesex District.
I wanted to send a brief reminder about my Downtown Fundraising Breakfast tomorrow morning. I hope you will join me!
Last summer, we hired more than 20 interns to both help out with the campaign and create an opportunity for our young people to learn about public policy and the political process. It was so successful that upon election, I committed to continuing a robust internship program so our students could learn and engage at the State level. Mentoring the next generation of leaders is one of the most important things we can do as a society to ensure a positive future for all.
I can't believe summer is actually here! When we launched our campaign earlier this year, there was a foot of snow on the ground. Since then, we've been out working hard and connecting with voters in Lexington and Woburn -- knocking on over 2,500 doors, hosting more than 40 meet & greets, and putting up more than 250 lawn signs.
The response has been incredible and the excitement surrounding our grassroots campaign is palpable.
With all this excitement, we're also approaching an important fundraising deadline. The second fundraising quarter ends on June 30th, and we want to end this quarter strong.
Will you consider making a donation in any amount between now and Saturday night at midnight?

With your continued support, we will have the resources we need to continue our momentum and grow our organization. I can't thank you enough for your generous support, and I look forward to updating you with more exciting news coming next week!
Last week, I announced my candidacy for State Representative, and the response has been so gratifying! I'm overwhelmed by the number of people who have called or emailed with their encouragement, the many volunteers who have already signed up to get involved, and the friends and neighbors who have generously contributed to our campaign committee. We are off to a great start!
We're going to work hard for each and every vote, and I'm excited to spend the next eleven months listening to our neighbors in Lexington and Woburn, working together to form a shared vision for the district and for all of Massachusetts.
Today, I'm asking for your help before an important fundraising deadline. The 2017 fundraising cycle will soon come to a close, and it's critical that we maximize fundraising efforts before the end of the year. We've set an ambitious goal of 100 contributions by December 31st.

I know that it's a tough time of the year to ask, but your early investment in our campaign is critical to our success next November. I have been so touched by the response to date, and I'm ready to get to work!
Thanks again and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
