​Thank you to all who attended yesterday's event with AG Maura Healey and Congresswoman Katherine Clark. It was a fantastic time with a great turnout of more than 75 people. Like me, I'm sure you all enjoyed hearing from Maura and Katherine about their work and priorities, and I really enjoyed speaking with you and fielding all of the good questions you had for me.

​Some have asked why we have to keep fundraising year round and when running unopposed, how do we use the money? You may be surprised to learn that we don't receive funds for office expenses and as a new State Representative, we are given a budget for only one paid aide. Here are some of the things on which I spend campaign funding:

• Constituent Services
• Postage
• Mailings & printed materials
• Software for communications 
• Personnel (doing research, internships, constituent services)
• Sponsorships of community events
• Memberships in local organizations
• Office supplies
• Campaign activities 

 
As always your generosity is greatly appreciated and ensures that I can continue to do my work and be as effective as possible in serving and engaging the people of my district.
