A Look Back, A Look Ahead

1/3/2020

Picture
I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on 2019 while looking forward to 2020 with intention!

And, if you missed my Thanksgiving blog post, please check it out for a review of this year's legislative accomplishments here in the House of Representatives.

Climate Resolutions 2020

Between Greta Thunberg and our local youth activists, I hope that you too have been as inspired as I have to take action to preserve our planet. As they have shown us, we must take necessary steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and reduce waste.

What are you planning to do differently in 2020 to help fight off the real, present, and growing threat of climate change before it's too late? Share your resolutions with me by replying to this email, or do what the Millennials do and tweet/facebook me @mciccolo/@repciccolo.

Your resolution could be featured on my social media throughout January!

Hearing from YOU

Picture

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Tyler Gates of the Woburn Spotlight to discuss education and transportation, among other issues facing Massachusetts. Check it out here.
Transportation!
With 44% of emissions coming from the transportation sector, it is clear we need bold and transformative change in this critical area. To that end, I am pleased that the House will be addressing transportation finance imminently. As part of those discussions, knowing how my constituents feel is critical to representing YOU on Beacon Hill! So, I invite you to take the following transportation survey, which is modeled largely off of a similar document from my colleague Senator Jason Lewis

Out and About

Last month, I joined Governor Charlie Baker, Chair of the Lexington Board of Selectmen Doug Lucente, and Lexington Town Manager Jim Malloy to celebrate ThermoFisher Scientific's new investments in Lexington, which will allow them to accelerate advancements in gene therapy.
